Drive Shyft — operated by IOT Projects (Pty) Ltd — is a technology platform that introduces independent drivers to independent fleet owners in South Africa. Drive Shyft is not a transport operator, e-hailing service, employment agency, broker, agent, or party to any agreement, arrangement or relationship that arises between a driver and a fleet owner.
What Drive Shyft does not do
Drive Shyft does not:
- employ drivers or fleet owners;
- own, operate, lease, insure or maintain any vehicle;
- set, collect, guarantee or underwrite driver earnings, rentals, deposits, fuel, commission splits or any other payment between a driver and a fleet owner;
- supervise, instruct or control how a driver performs work for a fleet owner, or how a fleet owner manages their fleet;
- represent or warrant that any driver will be placed, that any fleet will hire, that any e-hailing platform (Uber, Bolt, inDrive, Yango or others) will activate or maintain any account, or that any specific income level will be earned.
Disputes between users
Any agreement, dispute, claim, loss, damage, injury, traffic fine, criminal act, accident, vehicle damage, theft, breach, non-payment, deactivation, or other matter arising between a driver and a fleet owner is solely between those two parties. Drive Shyft is not a party to that relationship and accepts no liability for it.
No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, IOT Projects (Pty) Ltd and its directors, employees, contractors and agents accept no liability — direct, indirect, consequential, special, incidental, punitive or otherwise — arising from or related to use of the platform, introductions made through the platform, the conduct of any user, or any agreement between a driver and a fleet owner. The user uses the platform entirely at their own risk.
Verification badges
Verification badges shown on the platform indicate that documents were checked for authenticity at a point in time. They are not a guarantee of a person's current conduct, solvency, safety, driving ability, criminal record going forward, or continued eligibility on any third-party e-hailing platform. Each party must conduct their own due diligence before entering into any agreement.
